DashBet operates under licence S/W/BIo/51/2016. Learn how our KYC and AML procedures protect your account and secure safe bettingin Australia.
Overview
We are committed to maintaining a secure and compliant betting environment for all Australian players. This page outlines our Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures. These checks are required under Australian regulation and apply to every account registered on our platform. By using our platform, you agree to cooperate with all verification requests as described below.
What we collect
We collect the following documents and information as part of our KYC process. Proof of Identity requires a valid government-issued document such as a passport, driver’s licence or national ID card confirming your full name and date of birth. Proof of Address requires a recent utility bill, bank statement or official letter dated within the last three months confirming your residential address. Proof of Payment requires confirmation that the deposit method belongs to you, such as a card statement or PayID verification screenshot. Source of Funds documentation may be requested in certain cases to confirm the origin of funds used for betting activity on the platform. Enhanced Due Diligence checks may apply to accounts showing high-volume activity or patterns that require further review under AML obligations.
When checks are applied
KYC and AML checks are applied in the following circumstances. At registration, age verification at 18+ is required for all new accounts before any deposit or bet is accepted. For withdrawal requests, full identity verification must be completed before any withdrawal is processed from your account. Large transactions involving deposits or withdrawals above designated thresholds may trigger additional document requests in line with AML policy. Accounts displaying unusual activity or irregular betting patterns or transaction behaviour will be reviewed and may be temporarily restricted pending verification. Existing accounts may also be subject to periodic review and re-verification at any time to secure continued compliance with Australian regulatory standards.
Data sharing
We do not share your KYC or AML data with third parties for commercial purposes. Information collected during verification may be shared with identity verification providers and Australian regulatory authorities under strict confidentiality agreements and only where required by law or licence obligations under S/W/BIo/51/2016. All third parties involved in our verification process are bound by applicable Australian privacy and data protection standards.
Document security
All documents submitted for KYC and AML review are stored using industry-standard encryption. Access to verification data is restricted to authorised personnel only. Our systems are audited regularly to secure document security and compliance with data handling requirements. Submitted files are transmitted through encrypted channels and stored in secure facilities. Despite these measures, no method of electronic storage is completely secure and we process your documents with the highest accessible standard of care.
Legal disclosure
If required by Australian law or regulation, we may disclose account and verification data to relevant authorities including gambling regulators, law enforcement agencies or financial intelligence units. We will only disclose the minimum information necessary to fulfil our legal obligations under our licence and applicable AML legislation.
Your data rights
You can request access to your verification data, ask for corrections or enquire about the status of your KYC review by contacting our support team via live chat or email. Requests are handled within applicable timeframes. To submit a data request, provide proof of your identity through the same channels used for account verification.
Data retention
We retain KYC and AML documentation for a minimum of five years following account closure in accordance with Australian regulatory requirements. Once the mandatory retention period expires, your documents are securely deleted from our systems. Active accounts retain all verification records for the duration of the account relationship.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in Australian gambling regulations or internal compliance procedures. Any updates will be published on this page with notice provided where required. We recommend reviewing this page periodically. Continued use of our platform after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the revised KYC and AML policy.
